The Repertorio is a Doc wine made from grapes of Aglianico of Vulture. The name Il Repertorio refers to a repertory or archive of notarial contracts. Il Repertorio is a D.O.C. wine obtained from Aglianico del Vulture grapes.
The grapes come from the same vineyards as those used for La Firma; however they are harvested earlier, in the second decade of October. After a 15 day maceration the wine is transferred to the aging cellar – a series of natural volcanic tufo grottoes – maturing in second and third passage French oak barriques for some 12 months. Il Repertorio is soft and balanced after as little as one month in the bottle. It is typically fresh on the nose, with obvious hints of regular and marasca cherry, finishing on a long note of spice.
It is excellent with roasted meats.
